I’m in the process of switching themes – it’s the same theme I’m using at the new blog I announced yesterday. I’m really in love with it, so decided to use it here too. I will be making modifications to it over the coming week though, so if you happen to drop by and something is broken don’t worry, it’s only temporary. :)

Upgraded to WordPress 2.5

It’s been a while since I gave the old blog some love, so when I heard WordPress 2.5 had been released yesterday I thought it would be the perfect opportunity. The upgrade went very well, and I have to say I’m impressed with the new admin interface. Very pretty!

I didn’t stop there either, I changed the theme as well. ‘Steady on there Jackie, before you know it you’ll actually post things too!’ said my inner voice(s). You never know, stranger things have happened. :) If you do happen to stop by, I am still playing a little with the theme, so if something looks very broken, it won’t be for long.

Just so that this post isn’t completely without value, I’ll leave you with a video of the best dog in the world, brought to my attention by a friend of mine on last.fm (thanks Andre!)

Having been pretty inactive blogging wise for some time, I feel the break has done me good. Why? Because what was beginning to feel like a chore, I now have a renewed sense of enthusiasm for. I even have a new project in the works (more on that soon), one that I’m pretty confident I can carry off. I’m even doing some proper planning and everything! Christmas is just around the corner though so it likely won’t launch until the new year, but stay tuned for details. I’ll announce it here as soon as it’s up and running.

As for this place, it will remain my personal blog and expect to see more frequent updates here too. I have my blogging mojo back it seems.

And now I’m off to recover from the shock of having made a blog post!

Almost there

There’s still some tidying to do, and additions to make, but I’m almost there now. Should have things finished up by tomorrow night and then I can finally focus on some content. I am currently sporting (and in love with) the Moo Point theme by Will Wilkins. Lots of lovely whitespace for a clean and airy look. Shame my house doesn’t look like that…

I wanted to personalise my presence on the intertubes a bit so I moved to a url which is, well, my name. Zenith has been put in the cupboard (which is possibly inhabited by strange pixies), and I, Jackie Plage, stand before you instead. Though I don’t mind being called Zenith still, I love the name, but I wanted to finally take the mask off and be me. Time will tell if that’s a good thing or not. :)

Also, I’ll say more about this tomorrow, but I’m rather pleased with this!

Upgraded and new look

I’ve just upgraded WordPress (yeah I know I’ve been too slow to do that, but I’ve been busy), and put up a new theme to play around with. Hence, lots of stuff is broken and will probably remain so for a day or so.

One thing that’s broken is the OpenID login, and I honestly don’t know why. It was broken before I did the upgrade, so I can’t blame that. If I can’t fix it, it’ll have to go, because I really don’t have oodles of time to spare on fiddling with plugins. Hope I can fix it though, I’d miss the ability to use OpenID on here. Ho-hum.

On second thoughts, I’m leaving the theme as it is for now. I’m in the middle of doing a design for another site and don’t want to be distracted from that for the time being. Plus, I kinda like it the way it is.
