Textpattern 4.0

4.0 was released yesterday (hurrah!) and today I’ve upgraded from 1.0rc3.

Have to say it was a very easy upgrade, took hardly any time and nothing major has been disturbed. There does however seem to be some funkiness with the links in my sidebar, but I’m sure I’ll sort that out (when I’m feeling a little less tired).

Other than that, it’s grrreat!

You can get it for yourself here

Edit

Thanks to Stuart the sidebar is now in perfect working order once again.

Braindead

That’s honestly how I feel. I used to have such energy (well that could be a slight exaggeration) for writing blog posts, but I think I’ve run out of steam. Must be the weather.

I think there’s actually more content in the Snippets section than there is in the main posts, that can’t be a good sign!

So…things may be dry for a while longer until I can get some enthusiasm / inspiration back.

In the meantime, I might think up a new design. Maybe that’ll do the trick.

All change!

You are now looking at Textpattern instead of WordPress.

Many many many thanks to Stuart without whom it would have taken me a heck of a lot longer to make the switch. He has most definately saved my sanity over the last few days!

The design has been tweaked a little bit, the most noticeable thing being the return of a cat in the header. The Snippets sidebar has been revamped somewhat too, comments and archives are now fully active in that category.

There may be a stray link or two while I smooth out the wrinkles, but other than that, things should be working as intended.

Welcome to the revamped version of The Kat’s Whiskers!

Scuttle

Thanks to Podz I’ve just discovered the wonders of Scuttle, and am now using it to keep all my links. All that is, apart from those in the sidebar here. I’ll be adding more links over time, but there’s a fair few there already. Much easier way of keeping bookmarks.

If you want to use Scuttle yourself, you can grab it here.

Flickr gallery

As I said in the comments in the previous post, I finally managed to get the API working.

And thanks to the kind generosity of Hazel, I now have a Flickr Pro account too! Hazel gave me one of the free accounts she was given with her pro account recently. So a big thank you to Hazel, it’s gestures such as these that restore a persons faith in humanity.

Hence after some fiddling to get the plugin to work, I now have a Flickr photo gallery on the site. Not an awful lot in it yet, but I’ll be adding to it over time, I have a new Fuji Finepix F810 to wear out!
