About

Forgive me if this little ‘about me’ post sounds incredibly naff, boring and tedious. I’m not great with these things, and it’s only here because it seems an obligatory thing to have one. That said, here are a few words on the subject of me and my blog.

About Me

I’m a 32 year old woman, originally hailing from Birmingham, UK but now living in East Yorkshire. I’ve also spent a fair chunk of my life living in South London, including most of my teenage years. So you might say I’m a bit of a hybrid with a semi Brummie accent. If you’re really that interested, my ‘real name’ is Jackie (don’t ever call me Jacqueline, I hate it!).

I’m married and have a 13yr old daughter who grows smarter and more sarcastic by the day (I’ve trained her well!). I’m also a Pagan, though you won’t see many posts relating to that here, I have another blog for that.

I fill my time with family life, various other online projects, reading (and sometimes writing). I don’t possess any formal qualifications of any value, I do however have two thirds of a degree in English Language and Literature (the final third got lost in the post somewhere).

It has been said that I’m a bit of a geek. I love gadgetry and anything generally computer or internet related. I also love playing MMORPG’s. I was a subscriber to Ultima Online for four years and have also played many others, including World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, EVE Online, Earth and Beyond (regrettably) and Horizons.

I can be quite a night owl, insomnia has made my sleeping patterns extremely erratic, so I tend to be awake and bored at 2am or later on a regular basis. Hence you may well find many of my posts are made at odd hours in the morning. I don’t guarantee you’ll be able to make sense of those particular posts!

About Thought Pixels

Why do I have a blog? That’s the million dollar question. It’s not to gain an audience as such, because I’m really not an attention seeking kind of person. I guess I just enjoy writing, and this enables me to do so on a regular basis. It’s an added bonus if people enjoy reading my blog, but it’s not essential to me either.

This blog began life as The Cat’s Whiskers (on the domain zeniths.net), then I got myself a more fitting domain name and it became The Kat’s Whiskers (on the domain thekatswhiskers.com). I had owned the domain thoughtpixels.com for some time, and finally moved my blog over to it because I wanted to be able to design themes without cats in them. There are only so many cat combinations a person can come up with!

Hmm…well, that’s about it for now, if I think of anything more to add I’ll edit this page at a later date.
