I’d almost forgotten I’d sent for them, but today my Ubuntu CD’s arrived. Sooo much nicer than a handwritten disc, they come in a nice printed cardboard ‘wallet’ with both a live and install disc in each. I ordered 10 for PC, 2 for Mac, and 3 for 64 bit. All completely free from Canonical, very nice.
I’m just wondering now how to give away those that I don’t need. If anyone who reads here would like one, (and you’re in the UK), let me know and I’ll post one off to you (email me via the contact link in the navbar). The Mac disc and 2 of the PC discs I’ll keep for myself, but the rest are free to whoever wants one.
And now I have an itch to install Ubuntu on something. Think I’ll try the live cd on my powerbook.
I’ve just sent for a pack. Only 5. I thought I could give the live disc a go and see if I can’t sort this bloody modem out once and for all.
They take a while to come through, mine took about a month I think. But that could have been because I ordered them the day the latest version released too.
I can wait. I might not have the time to mess around with it though. :(
They’ve arrived. :)
If you blow up on the Ubuntu install thern Simply MEPIS is fab. Completely idiot proof.
