What newsreaders do you all use?
I have been using various bits of software, but it’s becoming a royal pain in the rear to keep manually updating each one, so I really need a cross platform solution (windows/linux at least).
I’m not overly keen on browser based readers, but if that’s the only solution that’s what I’ll have to do. Bloglines and similar services – can’t stand ‘em. I’d much rather have a seperate programme to read everything in.
Any suggestions?

I use Great News adequate enough for what I use it for :D
I use GreatNews too.
SharpReader covers Atom 1.0 and it’s free as is Abilon.
Talking of which your footer needs a little change in the Atom department. :)
But all of those suggestions are Windows only. I need something cross platform.
Thunderbird is looking like my only option at the moment.
Try FeedDemon or NewsGator Outlook. Both have sync capabilities across web, mobile and media center.
What do you mean “cross-platform”? How dare you dis Windows like that! It’s lovely.
I use GreatNews as cross-platform in the sense that I use Bloglines, so I use GreatNews in Windows, and Bloglines in Linux. So it’s fully synchronized, whereever I go.
I just need to find a decent Linux newsreader that syncs with Bloglines. ;)
